During what have been some of the roughest weeks in Miranda Lambert‘s personal life, things just seem to be getting harder and harder to get through. Lambert and her husband, Blake Shelton, recently dealt with the passing of his father, Dick Shelton. Now, Lambert is dealing with yet another loss. With her emotions running high, Lambert took to her Twitter page, where she poured her hurt out in a late night message.

“I have lost a friend I’ve had since 3rd grade today in a tragic accident,” a somber Lambert tweeted late on Thursday night. “When will this pain end. Please pray for peace.”

Her fans and friends all reached out to offer their condolences, as well as fellow country stars, including Dierks Bentley. “So sorry,” Bentley tweeted to Lambert first thing on Friday morning upon seeing her initial tweet. “Praying for you all.”

“Thanks for the prayers,” Lambert later added. “My friend is Mark Adams. We became friends at 9 years old. He was a great person. He is now in heaven with his dad. Please call your friends, especially the ones you haven’t talked to In a while or maybe are not on great terms with and tell em u love em. It’s so hurtful when it’s too late to do that.”

There is no word yet on whether Lambert will be rescheduling any more shows due to the unexpected tragedy. Lambert and Shelton both rescheduled last week’s shows to spend time with family after the loss of her father-in-law. Lambert’s On Fire Tour is scheduled to continue on tonight with a performance in Charlottesville, Va.
