Most of Us Make Mother’s Day Plans at the Last Minute
This Sunday, May 11th is Mother’s Day. Oh, you didn’t remember that? I’m sure you’re not the only one!
But I guess you better start planning. And if you’re normal, then this is about the time you should start figuring out what you are going to do for dear ole mom.
According to a new survey, 74% of us plan Mother’s Day less than a week in advance. And 6% just wing it and make no plans at all.
Now, from the National Restaurant Association, Mother’s Day is still the busiest day of the year for restaurants. However, only 33% of people who are taking their mom out to eat actually make a reservation.
If you are going to take your mother out for some grub on Sunday, breakfast is your best bet. 44% of people who are planning to go out to a restaurant this Sunday said they’re going out for dinner, 37% said brunch, and 11% said lunch. Just 8% are planning a Mother’s Day breakfast.
