Mother On Way To New Orleans Found Near Bus Station Holding Dead 2-Year-Old Girl

Police say a 19-year-old mother and her 2-year-old daughter were traveling from Greenville, South Carolina, to New Orleans, when the bus made a scheduled stop in Atlanta. The mother was seen crying, holding her little girl. The 2-year-old was later pronounced dead.

Eye witnesses say they spotted the mother on a nearby bridge, crying and reportedly told someone walking by that her child was "cold."

The cause of death has not been determined at this time, and authorities say the mother is not a suspect.
