If you read the headline and immediately rolled your eyes, I can't say I blame you. I can't tell you how many times that has happened to me.

For those of you who aren't familiar with PLL, it is a television series on ABC Family called Pretty Little Liars. If you are a parent of a daughter my age, you have probably heard more about this show than you would like. Every Tuesday night, my best friend, Katie, and I have a date night at my house just to watch PLL.

The series follows four young ladies in high school (Aria, Emily, Spencer and Hanna) who, with help from close friends, are in search of the person stalking them who goes by the alias 'A'. The series began when their friend Ally is 'murdered' and they are in search of her killer. As the series progresses, we find out that Ally faked her death after being stalked by the infamous 'A' as well.

For six seasons, faithful fans have followed the storyline, created by producer Marlene King, and the clues given in hopes of figuring out 'A's' identity. Some social media peeps have even created memes of the over-extended journey.

I think what intrigued me most at the beginning was all the talk about the series. I began watching it on Netflix because the show was about to begin its second season. During it's already six year life span, the show has blown up the social media scene, especially Twitter where King drops subtle hints as to what will happen next.

The first few seasons seemed like a wannabe teen thriller series, but things have now escalated and has left feeling like I am on a bad trip (if you know what I mean).

Added bonus is that the character of Aria is played by country music's own Lucy Hale!

This is number one of my list of favorite TV series. What is yours?
