We have a lot of crazy holidays, but one that certainly resonates with me is National Jukebox Day, celebrated the day before Thanksgiving. It has occurred to me that the younger generation might never know the pleasures of scraping together some quarters to play your favorite tune in your favorite diner. It was magic, and a huge part of my world growing up.

I have my favorites for National Jukebox Day, and I wanted to share some of them.

  • 'A Jukebox With a Country Song' - Doug Stone 1991
  • 'Prop Me Up Beside the Jukebox' - Joe Diffie 1993
  • 'A 11' - Johnny Paycheck 1965
  • 'Jukebox in My Mind' - Alabama 1990
  • 'Set 'Em Up Joe' - Vern Gosdin 1998
