Natchitoches Man Arrested In Christmas Burglaries In St. Martin Parish

It's been since Christmas of last year, but DNA evidence has St. Martin Parish authorities believing they have their burglary suspect in custody.

Sheriff's Office spokesperson Major Ginny Higgins says 52-year-old Gary Nowlin of Natchitoches allegedly burglarized the Dollar General Store in Cecilia and Timmy Guidry's Store in Arnaudville. The burglaries were reported on December 25, 2012.

Nowlin was found in Ocala, Florida, with the help of the U.S. Marshal's Office. He has been extradited back to Louisiana to face two counts of burglary. He's awaiting bond in the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center.
