National Missing Children’s Day
What a sad state of affairs that we are looking at the 31st anniversary of the day that President Ronald Reagan signed a proclamation to honor and remember missing children in America. Right here in Acadiana, we are searching for 22 year old Mickey Shunick, and in New York City, a confession has finally come 33 years after little 6 year old Etan Patz went missing. He was our first Milk Carton Child, and when his disappearance was followed by 6 year old Adam Walsh’s in Hollywood, Florida-America sat up and took notice.
This is not something to celebrate, just a reminder to hold your loved ones close, and do what we can as compassionate citizens of the Earth to help others who need it.
