New Iberia Circle K Robbed

Iberia Parish Sheriff's Deputies were called out the Circle K convenience store on Jefferson Terrace early this morning.

The store clerk told police a man wearing a hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a white cloth over his face held up the store.

The clerk says the black male was armed with a handgun, he demanded money and took an undisclosed amount of it from the cash register.

The man then took several packs of cigarettes and ran away from the store in the direction of Dale Street.
