New Orleans Saints Lose Nicks & Meachem

When the New Orleans Saints signed receiver Marques Colston yesterday to a 5-year contract, things were looking up. But if you've been paying attention to the salary cap situation, you probably knew what was coming next.

Today All-Pro guard Carl Nicks signed a 5-year, $47.5 million contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The team also lost another free agent in WR Robert Meachem. He inked a 4-year deal with the San Diego Chargers.
