Lafayette Parish School Superintendent Donald Auguillard has announced the appointments of new principals at two middle schools in the Hub City.

Allison El Koubi has been appointed a principal of Lafayette Middle School. She served as a teacher and library director for 10 years; principal for three years in Clinton and Jackson, La.; and as executive director of achievement  in the Baton Rouge Recovery School District. She has most recently served as a consultant for the Louisiana Department of Education.

El Koubi earned a bachelor's degree in French and Humanities from Houghton College; a master's degree in school leadership from LSU; a master of business education from Solvay Business School at the Universite Libre de Bruxelles. She is currently a doctoral candidate in educational leadership at LSU.

At Paul Breaux Middle school, Stephen Judice will take the reins as principal. Judice has formerly served as an itinerant assistant principal at both Comeaux and Acadiana High Schools and most recently at Paul Breaux Middle.

Judice earned a bachelor's of science degree in secondary education and master of educational leadership from UL Lafayette.
