Not a big shock that today NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell upheld his suspensions on the four NFL players connected with the Saints bounty scandal.

The only thing that Jonathan Vilma, Will Smith, Scott Fujita or Anthony Hargrove can do now is meet with Goodell and give him their side of the story. He will only consider reducing their suspensions if new evidence is brought to his attention.

He points out that although the players have claimed they were wrongly accused based on insufficient evidence, they chose to not participate fully in their appeal hearings.

So, it looks like Jonathan Vilma is still gone for the season and Will Smith for the first four games.
