Lafayette firefighters say no one was injured after a fire at a home on Pamela Drive last night around 7:40.

Firefighters showed up at the home to find all of the occupants of the home outside.  They were able to quickly extinguish the blaze in the bedroom of the home.

The owner of the home, Thaddeus Ogu, called firefighters.

The bedroom sustained heavy fire damage while the other parts of the home suffered smoke and heat damage.

Fire officials determined the fire originated in the bedroom. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
