New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees has been named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week after his sensational performance on Monday Night Football.

Brees captured the nation's sports headlines Monday night when he became the NFL's all-time passing yards leader, surpassing Peyton Manning.

In the 43-19 victory over Washington, Brees put up a ridiculous 89.7% completion rate, going 26-29 for 363 yards and 3 touchdowns. His longest play was a 62 yard TD pass to rookie wide receiver Tre'Quan Smith in the 2nd quarter, the same play when he officially set the all-time passing yards mark.

He now sits atop the all-time record with 72,103 yards, with plenty more to come.
