LSU safety Jamal Adams held a press conference this morning, announcing he will forgo his senior season and enter the NFL Draft.

The news surprises no one, as it's absolutely the right move by Adams.

ESPN NFL draft guru Todd McShaw ranks Adams as his 4th best player overall in the 2017 NFL draft, while Mel Kiper ranks him 6th.

Adams comes from an NFL pedigree, as his father George was a 1st round pick (19th overall) in the 1985 draft.

At 6'1, 211 lbs, Adam is fantastic inside the box, playing great against the run and showing an ability to cover the slot.

He took big play risks at times, leading to several missed assignments due to his aggressiveness.

LSU release the following Adams highlight video after his announcement.
