Ah, New Orleans, your French Quarter is quite often the setting for some of our most strangest stories. This is one of those stories. NOLA.com is reporting that first responders were called to an emergency in the French Quarter Tuesday night. The report said there was a man on fire at the location that the call originated.

Upon arrival emergency crews found a man in severe pain with burns on his buttocks and upper thigh region. The flames had been extinguished by bystanders at the scene. There was no explanation as to how or why the man sustained the burns on that particular  part of his anatomy. He was taking to Interim LSU Trauma center where he was given medication for the pain and his burns were treated.

EMS crews said the man was uncooperative in giving information on how the incident happened but the first responders did report that the gentleman had a sticky substance on and near the area where the burns took place.
