The Notre Dame Pioneers and the St. Thomas More Cougars will be gunning for state championships today at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in the 2015 Allstate Sugar Bowl/LHSAA Select Prep Classic.

The two games will be part of four championship games in the select divisions.

Notre Dame, the #3-seed, will face top-seeded Riverside Academy for the Division III title, with kickoff set for 1:30 pm.

Notre Dame is currently 13-0, while Riverside will enter the match-up at 11-1.

 

The second-seeded St. Thomas More Cougars will be playing for the first state crown in school history, will they take on 4th-seeded Parkview Baptist, in the Division II title game.

Kickoff is scheduled for 5 o'clock.

St. Thomas More is 11-1, while Parkview Baptist is 9-3.

 

The first state championship will get underway at 10 am this morning, with St. Mary facing Southern Lab for the Division IV crown.

 

Finally, in the Division I title game, scheduled for 8:30 pm, Archbishop Rummel will tangle with Catholic-Baton Rouge.

 

The non-select divisions enter semifinal play.

In Class 5A, Mandeville will travel to John Ehret, while Zachary hosts Parkway.

 

In Class 4A, Warren Easton will be on the road to meet Neville, while Franklinton will play host to Karr.

 

In Class 3A, West Feliciana will travel to face Lutcher, while Amite hosts St. James.

 

In Class 2A, Mangham will be on the road to face Rayville, while Kinder hosts Welsh.

 

Finally, in Class A, Oak Grove will travel to Kentwood, while Haynesville hosts Arcadia.
