Ahh baseball, the stuff that dreams are made of, the smell of the fresh cut grass, the roar of the crowd and something Ferris Bueller did on his day off. Do you ever wonder about sports in the movies? Were the games real? Did they actually film the movie at the game? Did they just dress up a bunch of extras and rent the stadium to make it look like a game was going on? Well if you are a fan of Ferris Bueller's Day Off, I think we have your answer.

It appears obvious now that this is a real ballgame that Ferris is at, not just something recreated for a film crew. The Harry Caray play-by-play and the Braves players on the field are pretty solid evidence of that. So what game, then, are they watching? Did the Cubs win, or did Ferris sing "Danke Schön" as a way to wash away the stink of a Cubs loss?

The great Harry Caray, one of the reasons I do what I do. I used to listen Harry on a station out of St. Louis when he was the voice of the Cardinals. Rest in Peace Harry and for all of you who adore baseball, your time is coming! Spring training for the major leagues begins soon, The Cajuns will be live at the Tigue and all will be right again with the world in springtime.
