Everyone dreams of this happening, and this guy lived it!

Steven Schneider, of Lawrenceville, Georgia was a lone passenger on a Delta Airlines flight from New Orleans to Atlanta Tuesday (6/21).

When Schneider arrived to his gate at the Louis Armstrong International Airport in New Orleans, he got nervous because he thought he had missed his flight.

He was informed that because the original flight had been delayed several times, that other passengers opted to take an earlier flight, or leave the next day. He was then given the choice to fly solo, or make a new reservation.

The plane he flew on, an MD-90, seats about 160 passengers.

Schneider felt bad at first, but was eased by a flight attendant at the gate.

"She said the plane needed to go back to Atlanta anyway. She called this an empty leg flight.”

Here's what Delta had to say about it:

"We're glad this customer enjoyed a somewhat rare solo experience. Other customers were accommodated on an earlier departure. The reason we operated the flight was so this customer could have that airplane positioned back in Atlanta so it could be in place for a departure the next day."
