One Arrested, One Wanted In Connection With Lafayette Shooting
Detectives with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office have arrested one suspect and are searching for another wanted in connection with a fatal shooting in Lafayette.
Sheriff's Spokesperson John Babin reported 37-year-old Walter Fleanders is on the run following the shooting that occurred in the 500 block of Berlin Street in Lafayette.
According to a press release Fleanders, and 45-year-old Harry James Lewis Jr., of Thibodaux, allegedly fired at a vehicle killing one passenger and injuring another.
Lewis was arrested one count of second-degree murder and three counts of attempted second-degree murder.
Babin said Fleanders is wanted on one count of second-degree murder and three counts of attempted second-degree murder.
Fleanders is beleived to be in the company of a black male driving a blue Dodge Charger with red stripes.
