The bad weather that stormed through Acadiana and much of the country yesterday was no fun and seemed to be a bit worse than forecasted.

There were several reports of damages throughout the region but it appears that there was only confirmed report of an actual tornado.

National Weather Service in Lake Charles has confirmed that an EF1 tornado touched down just south of Crowley yesterday morning around 10:15. Winds from the tornado were estimated at 104 mph.

The tornado touched down along Highway 13 and snapped several trees along its path.

The good news is that for today (Friday, Dec 28), the forecast looks great -- Sunny with a high of 65!
