One Dead, Several Injured in Early Morning Crash on I-10 Near Henderson

One person was killed and several others were injured in an overnight crash on I-10 westbound near mile marker 114 just outside of Henderson.

According to Louisiana State Police, around 1:27am this morning, a vehicle pulled over to the shoulder of I-10 after their U-Haul trailer detached.

A second vehicle pulled over to help and the driver got out to assist the occupants of the first vehicle. An 18-wheeler then hit the first vehicle, which struck the driver of the second vehicle.

That driver died from their injuries.

The driver of the first vehicle and its occupants were seriously injuried in the collision.

The identity of the deceased driver as not yet been released.

Traffic is now open and the crash is under investigation.
