Gear up for one of the hottest festivals in south Louisiana this weekend-the 8th annual Opelousas Spice and Music festival. This year’s festival, which will be held at South City Park, will offer an exciting lineup of musical performers which include Geno Delafose & French Rockin’ Boogie, Horace Trahan and the New Ossun Express, Chris Ardoin & NuStep, J Paul Jr. and the Zydeco Nubreeds, Jamie Bergeron & the Kickin’ Cajuns, and Leon Chavis and the Zydeco Flames. Wowser! That’s what I call a lineup!

Of course we can’t forget about the fabulous food-boudin, jambalaya, red beans and rice and more. YUM! Isn’t it great to be in south Louisiana during festival season?!
