22-year-old Eric Johnson has been charged with arson after the iconic Acadiana restaurant went ablaze on July 21.

According to our news partners at KATC, Johnson, the operations manager at Rendezvous Dinner Club in Evangeline Parish, was arrested late Saturday night at his home. Deputy Marshal Brant Thompson with the state Fire Marshal's Office says Johnson was a close confidant to restaurant owner John Deville, but did not say if Deville is a suspect in the arson case. Johnson is being held on $200,000 bond in the Evangeline Parish Jail.

Deputy Marshal Thompson says more arrests are pending.
