Fiat Chrysler is recalling more than 1.4 million Ram pickups throughout the U.S. and Canada. Tailgates with power locks can possibly open while the trucks are moving.

The truck recall includes Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 pickups produced from 2015 through 2017.

The major issue is because if the tailgates open while the trucks are moving, anything in the bed of the truck can fly out into the road and cause accidents.

As of now, no accidents have been reported.

The recall will begin Sept. 14th. If you have one of the trucks included in the recall, you can bring it to your Ram dealer, and they will fix the tailgate locking mechanism free of charge.
