On the 4th of July, pop singer Ariana Grande made headlines because, well...because she behaved really irresponsibly. I'm going to take the high road and leave it at that for my choice of description. She and her boyfriend were videoed at a doughnut shop in California, Wolfee Donuts, where she licked a couple of doughnuts that were on a tray for sale to the public. She didn't buy those doughnuts, she just licked them. Oh, that and, she also said she hates America...on the 4th of July. Well, the guy that owns the doughnut shop has announced he's pressing charges against Grande for the doughnut defiling. Actually, he says he pressed charges the day it happened!

Store owner Joe Marin says he's been reading in the news that he declined to press charges at the time of the incident, but says that's NOT true. Marin says he pressed charges July 4th.

Joe Marin of Wolfee Donuts told the Roz & Mocha show this morning that he’s been reading the reports with disbelief because he has been in touch with police about pressing charges.

I did press charges and then when I was reading the newspaper it said that … I decided not to, and I don’t know where that came from.

You see, it's just the $4 Joe Marin is out. He says the video sparked a surprise health inspection of his bakery. As a result, he received a B rating, down from an A rating. The reason was because he had the doughnuts uncovered on a tray sitting on top of the case instead of in the case behind glass.

As a result of the falling in rating, Marin says his business has suffered.

What do you think? Is he using this as a possible cash grab, or has his shop suffered as a result of all of this?
