Green Bay Packers kick returner Ty Montgomery brilliantly exploited a flaw in the NFL rule book, and it totally worked!

When the Detroit Lions kicked off to the Packers, Montgomery was more ready than anyone thought. The ball bounced into the end-zone, but with a backspin, came out to about the three yard line near the out of bounds line.

That's when Montgomery sprung into action. He stepped out of bounds, and laid out to grab the ball, leaving his feet out of bounds.

The NFL rule is that if a player that is out of bounds touches the ball, the ball is considered out of bounds. So, on the kickoff, with the ball going out of bounds, the Packers received the ball on the 40 yard line! The Packers went on to score a touchdown thanks to that play.
