Christmas is a time that reminds us of home and family traditions — two things that have always been celebrated in country music — so it’s only natural that so many country artists have contributed classic songs to the holiday season.
The Band Perry lended a hand to pop star Justin Bieber for his upcoming Christmas CD, and it's also rumored that Taylor Swift will contribute to the project as well. You might remember that Rascal Flatts collaborated with the Biebs on the "It Should Be Me" award win
Here's the list of nominees for the upcoming 2011 CMA Awards:

Well if the picture featured here with this story isn't enough to persuade you to give up the planking craze then I don't know what will. I guess if people getting killed while planking isn't enough to slow folks down, it's going to take drastic measures like this to reign it in.
To me planking appears to be nothing more than just laying down. As someone who wakes up at one in the morning I can appreciate that. I know it's just a fad, a phase, a monkey-see-monkey-do, look at me moment in time. I am sure by this time next year planking will be spoken in the past tense like so many other great fads of yesteryear.
The past 12 months have been great for The Band Perry. The family act has seen a number one song, won some big time awards and found themselves on the road with legendary Tim McGraw. This past week saw Kimberly, Neil and Reid doing what comes natural to those of us who love country music. They have been giving back to those that were affected by the recent tornadoes.
If you are headed to CMA Music Fest, or Fan Fair, in June, you might want to get tickets to see the show while you're in Nashville. The Red Carpet is always ALOT of fun! Congrats to all the nominees...
