Fox Sports recently ranked the bowl games from this season and the Cajuns' dramatic win over San Diego State in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl came in #2. That's second only to the overtime Fiesta Bowl between Stanford and Oklahoma State.

Well the post season is upon us. The New Orleans Saints finishing the 2011 regular season campaign with a 13-3 record. Detroit finished 10-6 and are in the postseason for the first season since 1999. The game is a rematch of the December 4 meeting that went the way of the Saints 31-17.
It is NFL playoff weekend and that means it's time to start thinking about who the New Orleans Saints will be playing in the Superbowl. That also means it is time to begin thinking about the real reason a lot of people watch the Superbowl, the commercials.
A couple of years ago during the New Orleans Saints magical run to the Super Bowl there were a lot of Saints inspired music coming out of Louisiana. A lot of it was ok but not that many were memorable. A song by Lafayette's Bayou Boys was one of the few that had some "staying power".
Life continues to be good as a New Orleans Saints fan. Our team is 12-3 and heading to the playoffs for the third straight year. Our quarterback just broke the all-time single season passing yardage record.
