From the start, Carrie Underwood was never shy about her personal beliefs, especially when releasing her single, ‘Jesus Take the Wheel’ in the early part of her career. The song went on to become a powerful smash in country music, landing the ‘American Idol’ winner her first chart-topping hit.
The 2012 CMT Music Awards winners were the stars of the night at the annual ceremony that celebrated the year’s best country music videos. The show, co-hosted by country’s own Toby Keith and actress Kristen Bell, highlighted the best clips of the year while providing an evening full of entertainment with countless live performances from the hottest country acts.
The tour of the summer began over the weekend. Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw and Jake Owen opened the Brothers of the Sun Tour in Tampa, Fla., and few walked away not believing they’d seen one of the greatest shows in country music.
