The Pinewood Derby Car You Wish You (Or Your Dad) Had Built

Let me go on the record as saying the Boy Scouts and the Girl Scouts are great groups for kids to be involved in. Both of my children have participated in scouting and are better people because of it. Being the cynical DJ type person that I am, I do have one small problem with scouting. My problem with scouting is the pinewood derby race. I love the concept of scouts building, painting and racing their own designs fueled by gravity and desire. The problem is when a parent, usually Dad, steps in and it becomes the child's car in  name only. I can't be the only one that has ever had this thought right? That being said, I can only wish that I had the know how to build "the world's fastest pinewood derby car".

Bristol Brings out the Best in Busch

If rubbin is racing, then they were racing hard at Bristol Motor Speedway this weekend. No matter how you sliced it though the cream of the crop has got to be Kyle Busch. "The Shrub" as he is often called once again pulled out his broom and swept both races at "T

Zombie Dale Earnhardt to get Married at Bristol

Dale Earnhardt was a racer. He was a hell of a driver but the bottom line is he was a racer. Those in the know say the worst place to be on a race track was between Dale Earnhardt and the finish line. Sadly we lost Dale in a crash at Daytona that still puzzles me to this day

Back Flips Win Big in Vegas

Back flippin, duck loving, grass growin, Subway eatin, Carl Edwards finally found his way back to victory lane at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sunday. This time it was at the expense of "Smoke" Tony Stewart. Vegas is known for gambles and this one paid off big Carl.

Jeff Gordon wins at Phoenix

I never thought the day would come when I would be glad to say, Jeff Gordon won a NASCAR race. The fact is I am. Jeff Gordon for all my disdain for him through the years has always been a great driver. He really handles a pretty wheel as they say in the business and it has been a while since we saw him in victory lane. I do find it funny he is driving for AARP, because I remember when he was the baby faced kid with a mustache driving the Baby Ruth car.

Great American Race Lives Up to its Name

I don't know what is harder to believe about the Daytona 500 this year, the fact that a 20 year old rookie won the race or the fact that some guy name Trevor won stock car racing's Super Bowl. Both facts are true, 20 year old Trevor Bayne driving for the legendary Wood Brothers brought his #21 Ford home first in a 500 that for race fans was one of the most exciting 500 miles we've seen in a long long time.

Busch Backs Up Shoot Out Win at Daytona

The Saints are in the offseason and now comes the time for the OTHER sport worth being concerned with to take the stage. NASCAR! The great American Race is this Sunday in Daytona. It's NASCAR's Superbowl to borrow from the NFL and already the boys that go fast and turn left are making noise with twin qualifier races.

Who is Having an Affair in Your Office?

We all love office gossip don't we? Actually no we don't that would be wrong and in total disagreement with what we truly believe, yeah RIGHT! So not that you would ever be nosy or sneaky or want to know about any clandestine love affairs where you work, but just in case you did, the answers might be in the stars. A persons astrological sign might give you clues as to who is really working overtime and who is working it, overtime.
