Chase showing some love for Louisiana covering Hunter Hayes' 'Storm Warning' on American Idol
Chase Likens might just be the "country guy" to watch for on this season's American Idol. Last night's show featured the West Virginian covering a song that we are very familiar with, Hunter Hayes' "Storm Warning".
Sara Evans joined Rascal Flatts for the first couple months of this year for their Thaw Out 2012 Winter Tour, along with opening act Hunter Hayes. The tour made a successful run and wrapped Feb. 18 in New Jersey. And while the most of the excitement may be over, Evans still has much to be excited about. As a thank you for a tour well done, Rascal Flatts gave their female co-star a gift to help her thaw out, and from Evans’ reaction on Twitter, the surprise present was much appreciated.

Today the Academy of Country Music and Great American Country (GAC) unveiled the 2012 semi-finalists for the New Artist of the Year award, which consists of eight artists after the first round of professional voting. This year’s semi-finalist list includes Scotty McCreery, Brantley Gilbert, Hunter Hayes, Thompson Square, JT Hodges, David Nail, Jerrod Niemann and Justin Moore.
