More than 20 years ago, in March of 1991, Reba McEntire experienced a tragedy that will stay with her for the rest of her life. On Sunday night (March 4), the country star opened up on the OWN show ‘Oprah’s Master Class’ about the tragic plane crash that took the lives of seven of her band members, as well as her tour manager and two pilots.
In a new statement made Monday (Feb. 13), Dolly Parton emphasized once again just how deeply saddened she is by the tragic and sudden death of pop superstar Whitney Houston, who died Saturday in a Beverly Hills hotel room. Parton seems to have felt a special connection with the soaring songstress, especially since they shared the hit ‘I Will Always Love You,’ a song Parton wrote and performed in 1974. Houston then brought the git to girls across the globe, who sang it into their hairbrushes after 1992, trying to mimic the astounding runs and unbelievable high notes of the talent.
Dolly Parton announced plans to open up a new water and snow park in Nashville.
The legend herself Dolly Parton has always had an interesting since of style. I don’t consider myself a fashion "Guru" or anything, but to an average person’s daily wardrobe teased hair and sequins from head to toe is something only Dolly could pull off

With her dazzling attire and stage-brightening smile, Dolly Parton would seemingly be an ideal celebrity to hit the ‘Dancing With the Stars’ set — she’s even got the costuming down already. Still, the ‘Jolene’ hitmaker does not think she’d be a good fit and has refused several offers to appear on the show.
Dolly Parton has the perfect topic for her next try at a Broadway musical: herself. The singer, songwriter and star of the upcoming ‘Joyful Noise’ movie says she’d love to make her personal story of determination and success into a musical, and has even begun to work on it.
A great song is capable of moving the listener on a pretty intimate emotional level, so it’s only natural that fans often try to find ways of showing their appreciation for an artist’s music — even if the artist is successful enough that gifts are clearly unnecessary.
On the other hand, sometimes fans’ tokens of gratitude are just plain bizarre, and when Dolly Parton was asked about the most unusual thing she’d ever been given, she had a real whopper of a story to tell.
Don't you love it when all the folks on radio and TV get to say a new word? Especially when it's the kind of word that makes the immature among us snicker under our breath? Or when it is the kind of word that if your Grandmother had to say it out loud she would probably get really embarrassed?
The word of the week, HABOOB! It has nothing to do with a Dolly Parton joke but I guess it could, if Dolly was a giant sandstorm
