May 30, 2011 I'm all about celebrating Memorial Day for the right reasons-to honor our brave men and women who have fallen while serving our country, but jumpstarting the American economy right now seems like a pretty good idea too. Whatever you are doing on this American holiday-be safe, and thank a soldier or veteran for their sacrifice and service.

The official beginning of the tropical season is June 1, however Mother Nature very seldom checks the calendar to see if it's okay to start. May 26, 2011 Driving a race car is tough to do. There are some that would argue that those who do this for a living are not real athletes, I think they are but that is a debate for another day. The question we have this Memorial Day Weekend is this. Are we seeing mediocre Indy racer Danica Patrick in her last Indy 500? Is she heading for a huge payday by giving up the open wheel circuit? Is Danica taking her good looks and marginal driving skills south to NASCAR?
May 26, 2011 A delicious stuffed pork roast or grilled pork loin, now that sounds like Memorial Day heaven to me. Pork for the longest time we have been told you really need to cook it until it is totally done. Is that really true? To me a beef steak taste best when it's a little pink, but what about pork. Is pink pork okay to eat?
May 26, 2011 Sunscreen, I would say we are all in agreement it's a good thing to have and to use. A lot of us prefer to sport a golden tan but is that the healthiest thing for us to be wearing? One thing is for certain this Memorial Day Weekend a lot of us are going to be outside in the sun. What you don't know about sun screen could harm your children and be very unhealthy for you too.
