‘Papa Noel’ Movie Needs Extras Tonight in St Martinville

From our TV partners at KATC: A Lifetime movie shoot in St. Martinville has been pushed back to 9:00 tonight.

Producers of the movie Papa Noel say extras are still needed for the boat parade scene, which will be filmed along the Bayou Teche.

St. Martinville city officials say a boat parade scene will be filmed tonight at the RV Festival Grounds. Producers want extras to be in Christmas clothes to keep with the movies theme. Extras are reminded to bring lots of water to stay hydrated.

Filming on PAPA NOEL began Monday. Parts of St. Martinville's downtown area, Evangeline-Longfellow State Park, and the Bayou Teche area will be featured in the film, which stars Ed Asner and Randy Travis.
