Cheerleaders as a rule get a bad rap. The stereotype is of a ditsy airhead who can't count higher than eight. That is not fair. Most NFL Cheerleaders are highly paid professionals in other fields, they just cheer for the fun of it. It certainly isn't about the money. How much do NFL Cheerleaders make? The answer might surprise you. 

Most of us have never considered the cost associated with looking great and staying in shape. Not to mention the time put in at rehearsals, the gym or the tanning salon. I personally like having cheerleaders at the game. They add to the festive air of the event and  they are so much nicer to look at than a sweaty tight end.
