BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — A federal judge says he will rule by Monday on Gov. Bobby Jindal's attempt to cut off state Medicaid funding to Planned Parenthood's Louisiana clinics.

U.S. District Judge John deGravelles heard arguments in the case Friday in Baton Rouge. Without court intervention, the funding is expected to end early next week.

Jindal, a Republican presidential candidate, began the defunding effort after secretly recorded videos were released by an anti-abortion group purportedly showing Planned Parenthood illegally selling fetal tissue for profit. Planned Parenthood denies the allegation and says the videos are misleading.

Other states have made similar moves to cut off funding for Planned Parenthood chapters.
