Former LSU basketball star Collis Temple, Jr. is at the center of a strange loan scam going around, but he has absolutely nothing to with it.

Police say someone is calling Baton Rouge businesses saying they're Collis Temple Jr. and asking for money for various causes. Collis believes there are a few people who have actually given the scammer some money, but he's not sure how much at this point.

Temple Jr. has a message for the guy who's taking advantage of the good people of Baton Rouge.

From WBRZ.com -

"Temple, a strapping former basketball player for LSU, is not someone you'd want to cross on the street. He warned the scammer that it would be in his best interest to meet with police instead of meeting him somewhere."

If you suspect you've been a victim of this scam, or if you've even just received a call from him, the Baton Rouge Police Dept. want you to call them at 225-389-2000.
