Everyone is sharing that photo that breaks down how much every American would get if we split the Powerball jackpot—except the math is totally wrong.

The photo suggests that if we would divide the Powerball jackpot ($1.3 billion at the time of the post) by the estimated U.S. population of 300 million, that would give everyone $4.33 million.

While that would indeed solve poverty, the math is way off.

The correct answer would actually be $4.33 per American, but what's even more alarming than the bad math is the fact that so many people shared it!

YouTube star, Philip DeFranco sounded off on the viral Powerball photo and it's pretty hilarious.

Like most inaccurate information on the web, I always assume that even though people may know something seems a little flaky they share it anyway because it sounds cool—and deep down inside, they almost want it to be real.

Too bad this type of internet behavior doesn't actually cause these inaccuracies to come to fruition—I could sure use a few million bucks.

Anyway, back to work.
