Our good friend Tracy Wirtz just updated us with some new information. There's some hullabaloo right now in Opelousas. Here are the facts: The principal of Opelousas High School allowed a church group to bless the school. The principal says he was unaware that the superintendent had denied that request previously. After the blessing, a group called The Freedom from Religion Foundation (based in Wisconsin) sent a letter to the superintendent objecting to what is says was a "bizarre decision by principal Rodney Johnson to permit Rev. Jaison Mangalath of Holy Ghost Catholic Church, on behalf of the Blood Covenant Women of God from the church to 'bless every inch of the school'."

If you'd like to see the story and hear some of what the parties involved have to say, here you go:

I'm not sure about much but I agree with the bumper sticker: As long as there are tests, there will be prayer in school.
