Do you remember films that taught us to duck and cover in the event of nuclear war? Like a desk was going to keep us safe from radioactive fallout. Do you remember when the words "in color" were included in the beginning of a lot of television shows? Do you remember how all the television stations carried the broadcast of astronauts blasting off to the moon? If you do, then you have no doubt heard the phrase, "Any child can grow up to be President of the United States". I guess that was back when we all thought that being President of our country was a job worth having.  I suppose it still is but good gosh almighty, why would anyone want the job. I am cynical, yes I am really cynical. I don't trust any politicians, I probably need to amend my feelings and teach my children to believe in America and it's leaders. I guess when we can start electing leaders and not puppets maybe that can happen. I know you want to comment  on this, please be respectful when you do. If not for the person then for the office the person represents. I am still proud of my country, I love my country. I hope that we can make it better and great again.

"I happen temporarily to occupy this big White House. I am living witness that any one of your children may look to come here as my father's child has." - President Abraham Lincoln

Each President truly had their own cross to bear. Wait can I reference religion in a post about government? I must admit I was a big fan of Mr. Reagan. I think Jimmy Carter has been more effective as a former President than when he was in office, I respect him too. So who is your favorite President?
