Rachel Respess, Second Destrehan Teacher Accused In Sex Scandal To Appear In Court Thursday

Rachel Respess, the other former Destrehan High School teacher accused having sex with a 16-year-old student is expected to appear in court Thursday.

As of now, neither of the two women have been formally charged, but that could change next Thursday.

On April 9, the other Teacher, Shelly Dufresne, plead guilty to obscenity instead of the original charge of carnal knowledge of a juvenile. The judge sentenced Dufresne to 90 days in a mental health facility and three years probation.

On Thursday, May 7th, we will find out what the future holds for Rachel Respess, and find out if she and Dufresne will be formally charged.
