Louisiana Ragin' Cajun quarterback Terrance Broadway shined in Saturday night's 35-30 road win over the Akron Zips, accounting for all 5 Cajun touchdowns. He was honored today for his efforts, being recognized as the Sun Belt Conference Offensive player of the week.

"I'm extremely proud of Terrance," head coach Mark Hudspeth said in a statement on ragincajuns.com. "I thought he came back strong in the second half and fought through an ankle injury. He didn't want to come out of the game and kind of threw the team on his shoulders and led them in the second half. We limited his running, but he was able to beat them with his arm. He made a lot of good plays and decisions and I was really proud of his effort."

Broadway earned (305 passing, 68 rushing) 373 total yards, and 5 touchdowns (3 pass, 2 run), pacing Louisiana's offense to a victory in a game that saw 4 second half lead changes.

On the season, Broadway currently ranks 2nd in the Sun Belt in total offense, averaging 242.2 yards per game.  His 4 rushing touchdowns rank him eighth in the league in scoring.
