The road to Omaha and the College World Series is still well within the grasp of Louisiana's Ragin Cajun baseball team. Yesterday the Cajuns sent San Diego State packing with a very Ragin Cajun like performance of dominating pitching and timely hitting. Against Jackson State Friday night the Cajuns got great pitching but the bats were held in check. I don't think that will be the case today.

This is a win or go home game for the  Cajuns. I don't believe they are ready to allow either JSU or Mississippi State celebrate on the  mound at Tigue Moore Field. If you're new to NCAA Regional Baseball here is what has to happen. The Cajuns will face Jackson State at 1pm today. The winner, the Cajuns, will then move on to face Mississippi State at 6pm tonight.

If the Bulldogs of Starkville win they move on. If the Cajuns win, the two teams will meet again on Monday night at 6pm for the chance to move on to NCAA Super Regional play next weekend. While the road may seem difficult it is not impossible. The Cajuns have been grinding out victories all season long and a little adversity only seems to make this bunch play harder, smarter and stronger.

You can hear Cajun Baseball on the radio on our sister station, News Talk 96.5 KPEL. The games will be at one pm and six pm respectively. The pregame show air approximately 30 minutes before the first pitch of each game.
