Ragin’ Cajuns Softball Heading to Regionals in Austin

After winning the Sun Belt Conference tournament Saturday at Lamson Park the Ragin' Cajuns softball team knew they were NCAA tournament bound. They just didn't know where they'd be playing. Now they do as last night on ESPNU the Cajuns watched their team name pop up as a #3 seed in the Austin Regional. Louisiana will play #2 seed Houston in the first game of the four-team regional.

 The top team is Texas and they'll square off against #4 Texas State. Play begins on Friday for all teams with the winner of the double elimination Regional moving on to next weekend's Super Regional followed by the Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City.

University of Houston is coached by former Cajun pitcher Kyla (Hall) Holas and also has former UL pitcher Donna Bourgeois (Teurlings Catholic) on its roster. Time of the first game along with ticket info will be released soon. Good luck Cajuns!
