It is no secret that there seems to be a crossover with country music and hip hop . We can hear a few rap lines dropped in some of today's country. But it's not just country music fans that enjoy listening to and singing our favorite tunes.

It seems that rapper Nelly is quite the fan of country music himself. Or he at least can appreciate and show love for a great song. Just a few days ago, Nelly released a cover of one of our favorite new country songs, 'Die A Happy Man' from Thomas Rhett.

Check it out!

I think what I love most about this is that it shows appreciation and support from one artist to another across the genre board. But this isn't Nelly first step into country music. Do you remember that one time when Nelly sang with Florida Georgia Line?

However, we all know that it didn't start and definitely doesn't end there. Back in the late 2000s, Nelly did a duet with our very own Tim McGraw that was pretty awesome!

I think Nelly has even made appearances at some of country musics biggest award shows to simply show love. I think this is the best part of music in general; the love and respect that artists show each other for their talent and craft.

I can't lie, I grew up 'Shakin' my Tail Feather' to Nelly and I will do it again for the folks in the back. He has always been a favorite of mine and for him to dip his toes into my favorite genre is pretty sweet!
