The New Orleans Saints have signed offensive tackle Cornelius Lucas, according to multiple reports.

Lucas, who last played with the Los Angeles Rams in 2017, is a New Orleans native who played high school ball at Edna Karr before playing collegiately at Kansas State.

Signing with the Detroit Lions in 2014 as an undrafted free agent, Lucas spent 3 seasons in Detroit.

At 6'9, 330 pounds, he's served as a backup the majority of his career, but has started 7 games in relief.

New Orleans released offensive lineman Derek Newton to make room for Lucas.
