Rice & Gravy Cook Off Saturday in Scott

We have many fun choices this weekend in Acadiana, and the Rice & Gravy Cook Off promises to be a very tasty event! The Cook Off is sponsored by the Krewe de Red Hot Scott, and will be held Saturday at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Lions Club Road in Scott.

Entry Fee is $30 per team, and $5 will get you all the tasting you can hold for the day, sha! If you just want to come by for the fun, festivities will be held from 11:00 am - 5:00 pm, with a dj, and the official judging will be at 3:00 pm. Beer and soft drinks will be available for purchase, and a bake sale will provide some home made sweets. Oh, and yours truly will be one of the esteemed judges. (What a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon!) Proceeds will benefit LARC, so make plans to come out for the fun, ya'll!
