It won't guarantee that you'll get wealthy, but it's a start.

I've always been a firm believer that if you want something that someone else has, ask them how they got it and simply work toward getting it yourself. It's not always easy, but before you even attempt to reach an end goal, it's a pretty smart move to find out how others got there and just follow the common steps on your path to whatever it is you want to achieve.

If you want to be rich, there are a lot of ways to get there, but one man studied wealthy people for five years and found that they all avoided one type of person: PESSIMISTS

Author Thomas C. Corley found that the daily habits of rich people included avoiding pessimists "at all costs."

Self-made millionaires are very particular about who they associate with. You are only as successful as those you frequently associate with. The rich are always on the lookout for individuals who are goal-oriented, optimistic, enthusiastic, and who have an overall positive mental outlook.

86% of the people he studied avoided negative, "toxic" people and instead surrounded themselves with people who were success-minded and goal-oriented.

This isn't some newfound logic or amazing discovery, but it's interesting to see that avoiding pessimists is such a hallmark of the rich people that Corley studied. Even if you aren't trying to get rich, avoiding negative people will more than likely improve your life in other areas.

Moral of the story: Avoid negative people and hang out with optimists with goals.
