Listen up Lafayette drivers! There are some road closures in the area that we all need to be aware of so we can continue to drive safely and cautiously. Check it out because these roads may be on your way to work, school, etc.

Tom Carroll, the Director of the Department of Public Works, has announced today that the 1300 and 2400 block of Kaliste Saloom Road southwest bound travel lanes will be closed today, Monday, February 10, 2014 due to concrete rehabilitation. The road closure is anticipating road work for tentatively one month. The 1300 block is near the intersection of Roux Louis XIV and the 2400 block is near Target.

Furthermore, the east side of Settlers Trace Blvd., between Ambassador Caffery and W. Farrel Rd., will be closed due to concrete rehabilitation for two weeks. Additionally, one direction of travel on Settlers Trace between Steiner Rd. to Camellia Blvd. will be closed.

Yes, I know, road closures are inconvenient, but there will certainly be detour routes available. Let's continue to drive safely and keep an eye out for work crews and their equipment.
