Road Crews Working On Johnston Street and Hwy. 182 Wednesday

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development will be working on road construction on two different fronts within Lafayette Parish Wednesday.

On Highway 182, in Broussard, between U.S. 90 and La. 96, will be closed to motorists beginning Wednesday, July 22, until Saturday, July 25, and on Monday, July 27, from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.

This work is necessary to allow crews to pull and install sheet piles.

Also on Wednesday, July 22, the outside northbound lane of Johnston Street, located 0.23 miles south of La. 724, will be closed from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. for the installation of a deceleration lane.

All construction activities are weather dependent, and may be re-scheduled in the event of inclement weather.
